🌞 Summer Cooking Hacks 🌞

Hi Reader,

Summer, my favorite season, is all about easy, breezy, and delicious meals. I'm always thinking of ways to make my home cooking life a bit easier and I wanted to share some summer cooking hacks I implement to ensure we have tasty meals at home.

Hack #1: Pre-marinate Your Meats: Prep your meats ahead of time by marinating them in large batches. Store them in the freezer, and when you're ready to cook, thaw and grill. This saves time and packs your meat with flavor. One of my favorites to do this is with my jerk chicken.

Hack #2: Use a Slow Cooker: Slow cookers aren't just for winter! They help keep your kitchen cool while cooking some tasty pulled pork or chili. Try my Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken for a summer BBQ hit. This recipe uses boneless, skinless chicken with a flavorful homemade BBQ sauce, perfect for any summer gathering.

Hack #3: Embrace No-Cook Meals: Salad, wraps, and cold pasta dishes are your best friends. Try my Cold Seafood Salad for a refreshing meal without turning on the stove. It's packed with crab, shrimp, pasta, and fresh vegetables in a creamy dressing, making it a perfect dish for hot days.

Hack #4: Use the Grill: Grilling adds a smoky flavor that screams summer to everything from fruits to veggies to desserts. Plus, cooking outside is fun. Check out my Zesty and Easy Grilled Marinated Vegetables for a delicious side dish. Marinate your favorite summer vegetables and grill them in foil packets for an easy and flavorful addition to any meal.

Hi Reader, Let me tell you—if I can spatchcock a turkey, anyone can! I used to think this method sounded way too fancy (or intimidating), but trust me, it’s simpler than you’d expect. Plus, the results are out of this world: juicy meat, crispy skin, and a faster cooking time. With this recipe, you’ll flatten your turkey for even cooking, season it to perfection, and roast it to golden-brown deliciousness. The best part? You don’t need to be a pro chef to make this happen.
