Four Gravy Recipes


I've been thinking a lot about gravy lately. Not just because Thanksgiving is coming up, but because a good gravy really does make everything better. Mashed potatoes, turkey, biscuits: they're all fine on their own, but add the right gravy and suddenly it's a meal worth remembering.

I've got four gravy recipes that cover pretty much any situation you'll run into:

Giblet Gravy

This is the traditional one. If you've got giblets from your turkey, this recipe turns them into rich, flavorful gravy that tastes like the holidays should.

Gravy from Drippings

Got pan drippings? This is your recipe. It's straightforward and uses what you've already got from roasting your turkey or chicken.

Gravy Without Drippings

No drippings? No problem. This one uses chicken or turkey stock and still delivers on flavor. It's a lifesaver when you need gravy but don't have pan drippings.

Chocolate Gravy

Okay, this one's different. It's a Southern breakfast thing: sweet, chocolatey, and perfect over biscuits. Not for your turkey, but worth making if you want something special for breakfast or dessert.
